Product Overview
Standing Seam Curving Machine for Curved Metal Roof Panels
Convex & Concave Bending Solution for Standing Seam Roofing Systems
This Standing Seam Curving Machine is designed for shaping curved metal roof panels used in industrial buildings, warehouses, stadium roofs, commercial halls, and long-span steel structures.
It allows contractors and metal roofing manufacturers to create convex and concave standing seam panels with stable accuracy, ensuring smooth transitions on arched or dome-style roofing projects.
The machine works with panels produced by standard standing seam roll forming machines, making it suitable for roofing companies, roll-forming line suppliers, and panel fabrication workshops that need reliable curved roof panel forming.
With its manual adjustment mechanism, this model offers a simple and precise way to control panel curvature without complicated setups, making it ideal for job-site bending or small-batch curved roofing production.
Products Description
Smooth Curving for Standing Seam Roof Profiles
Supports both convex and concave bending, making it suitable for curved metal roof panel forming used in arched roofs and special architectural roof designs.
Manual Adjustment for Accurate Radius Control
The bending rollers are manually adjusted, allowing the operator to fine-tune the radius according to project requirements. The structure provides stable pressure without damaging the panel surface.
Compatible With Major Standing Seam Profiles
Fits a wide range of roof panel types including:
65mm standing seam
305/400/430 standing seam roofing panels
Custom standing seam roof panels
Compatible with panels made from aluminum, galvanized steel, and color-coated steel.
Heavy-Duty Frame for Long-Term Operation
The frame, bending shafts, and roller system are built for long service life, ensuring consistent performance for manufacturers and roofing contractors.
Ideal for On-Site or Workshop Use
Small footprint, easy movement, simple operation - suitable for factory production or on-site bending tasks.

Curved Bending Operation Process for Standing Seam Panels
Step 1: Panel Positioning and Installation
Gently push the pre-processed standing seam metal panel (recommended standard length not exceeding 12 meters) into the equipment's feed guide channel. Ensure that the panel's standing edge aligns with the equipment's central axis, and maintain the initial insertion angle perpendicular to the plane of the roller set. It is recommended to process one sheet at a time to avoid curvature deviations caused by simultaneous processing of multiple sheets.
Step 2: Curvature Parameter Adjustment
Manually control the downward pressure of the upper roller set using the precision adjustment screws on both sides of the equipment. Each full rotation of the adjustment screw corresponds to a vertical displacement of 2.5 mm for the roller, and a digital dial indicates the actual downward pressure value. Based on the curvature radius required by the design drawings, set the initial parameters by referring to the Curvature-Downward Pressure Reference Table provided with the equipment. For large-radius curves exceeding 8 meters, a progressive adjustment approach is recommended.
Step 3: Initial Forming Test
Activate the manual propulsion device and feed the panel through the roller set at a uniform speed of 1.5–2 meters per minute. Maintain consistent propulsion force during the operation, avoiding sudden acceleration or abrupt stops. Once the trailing end of the panel clears the roller set, immediately measure the deviation between the formed curvature and the target value. When using a laser curvature detector, the measurement point spacing should not exceed 500 mm.
Step 4: Fine-Tuning Calibration
If the initial formed curvature deviates from the design requirements beyond the allowable range (typically ±3 mm), fine-tuning calibration is required. Based on the deviation direction and magnitude, adjust the vertical position of the corresponding roller by referring to the equipment correction parameter table. It is recommended to follow the "small increments, multiple adjustments" principle, with each adjustment not exceeding 0.5 mm. After each adjustment, verify the effect by passing a test sheet through again.
Step 5: Batch Continuous Forming
Once the adjustment parameters are confirmed to meet the design requirements, batch operations can begin. It is recommended to conduct sampling inspections using a standard curvature inspection template after processing every 10–12 panels. If a trend of curvature deviation is detected, perform preventive fine-tuning promptly before the deviation accumulates. During continuous operation, maintain a constant propulsion speed of 1–2 meters per minute to ensure curvature consistency across the batch.
This manual operating system combines precision mechanical structure with ergonomic design, enabling operators to achieve accurate forming of curvatures ranging from a 3-meter radius to infinite radii while maintaining the integrity of the panel's surface coating. The equipment is equipped with polyurethane protective rollers to effectively prevent scratches on the metal surface, and its special progressive pressure distribution system ensures that the panel cross-section does not deform during the bending process. Experience shows that operators who undergo 8–10 hours of training can achieve a product curvature qualification rate of over 98.7%.
